BartPE on USB
August 31, 2009 | Posted by chris For those that are familiar with BartPE know that running BartPE on CD’s is time consuming and slow. Below are some simple steps to running BartPE on USB Drives.
1. Download Pe2USB
2. Unzip contents and run .EXE
3. You will see the screen below
4. Make sure your USB drive is detected. Once that is done, mirror the settings shown in the screen shot with the exception of the source path
5. For the Source Path I would recommend pointing to a previous PE build folder with the i386 files. This will ensure that the USB build includes all plug ins. If not pointing to the Windows XP cd will be sufficient to build a basic BartPE USB recovery drive.
6. Once you click Start you will answer yes to the next question and it should begin.
**In order for this to work you system must support booting to USB**
