Recession Proof Budget Programs
So we are officially in a recession huh? Well you could have fooled me! Anyway, here are some budgeting software programs that I recommend to help you keep track of your finances and help you stay ahead of this recession.
Buddi – Simple, Clean, Elegant and quite small in size. This awesome personal finance software application only requires Java Run time Environment to run and supports Windows, OSX and Linux. Give it a try!

GnuCash – Another freeware great that is freely distributed under the GNU GPL License. This program is packed with so many features it is hard to touch base on all of them. Notable features include Reports and Graphs, Mutual Fund Accounts and support for QFX from Quicken. Works well with Linux

SimpleD – Completely Open Source project and quite a nice program. These application features all of the tools you will need to manage your finances.

Microsoft Office Account Express 2009 – Completely Free!! (Not to be confused with the Professional Version) It’s loaded with tons of great features and ultra powerful. This awesome application features everything you would expect from a budget program but tons more. It is compatible with Quicken so your data files can be imported. One of the many nice features include the ability to send invoices. Recommended
